🇮🇹TRAVELING INTERNATIONALLY ON A GLP-1 MEDICATION🇮🇹 I’ve been in Italy for the past two weeks and here are 3 tips to traveling internationally while on a GLP-1 medication. #weightcarepartner 1️⃣ Make sure your medication is in your carry on bag that you are carrying though TSA so that it doesn’t get lost. Also, make sure you carry it in a temperature controlled carry case so that your medication stays cool. 💉Make sure to carry your supplies you’ll need to administer your medication also in your carry on, and that you have the prescription label on hand. 📱And make sure to call ahead to your hotel to ensure there is a refrigerator in your hotel room. 2️⃣ Packing protein packed snacks and electrolytes. Bring your protein packed snacks with you to ensure you’re meeting your protein goal daily or at least coming close to it. Some of my favorite snacks to pack are protein bars and roasted edamame beans. 💧Alongside making sure you’re meeting your protein goal, make sure to bring electrolyte packets and a reusable water carafe so that you’re keeping your body hydrated. 3️⃣ Plan ahead for your meals and check the menus of restaurants before you go out to eat so that you know there is something on the menu that you’ll be able to enjoy. 🙆🏽‍♀️I’ve lost 70 pounds on a GLP-1 medication coupled with changes to my lifestyle and exercise.
